Italeri AMX-T Twin Seater (1:72)
The collaborative creation of the AMX “Ghibli” aircraft resulted in an efficient single-engine ground attack aircraft developed by both the Italian and Brazilian aviation industries. This project was initiated in the 1980s to replace the Italian Air Force’s aging Fiat G-91Y fighter-bomber, as well as the Brazilian Air Force’s MB-326 aircraft. With a Rolls-Royce Spey 807 engine, the AMX could reach a maximum speed of 1,000 mph. The Italian variant was equipped with a 20 mm M61 cannon and could carry up to 3,800 kg of offensive load. In addition, the two-seat AMX-T variant was created for advanced training as well as ground attack and close support missions. Italy acquired 26 AMX-T aircraft for its air force.
