Italeri Opel Blitz Classic (1:24)

The project to develop a reliable commercial vehicle, called Opel Blitz, was launched to meet various transportation needs. In the 1930s, Opel began producing these trucks at its plant in Rüsselsheim. During the following decades, the success of the Opel Blitz continued until the 1970s. During World War II, the solid Opel Blitz was noted and used by the Wehrmacht in both 4×2 and 4×4 configurations. After the war, the Opel Blitz became essential for the reconstruction of Germany and was widely used by various sectors. The commercial success of the Opel Blitz eventually transcended its original military uses.
