The Tigertank, officially known as the Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. Tiger I, is known as an iconic World War II tank. It was designed to reinforce German armored divisions with a powerful armored vehicle, in addition to the medium tanks Panzer III and Panzer IV that were no match for enemy tanks. Equipped with a deadly 88mm KwK 36 L/56 long-barreled gun, the Tiger tank could effortlessly pierce enemy armor even at long ranges. Despite problems with reliability and deployability, the Tiger tank was feared by the Allies when operated by experienced crews. The vehicle participated in important battles, such as in Normandy and on the Western Front, and played a crucial role in German military operations.
