Wooden City London Bus

This bus became the symbol of London and the city’s calling card in all the world’s travel books! The red double-decker bus with the doorless open platform or letting passengers in and out is, of course, one of the most recognizable appearances on the London streetscape. In 1954 the first prototype of the double-decker was made (2 years later in February 1956 it was put into service for the first time), and in December 2005 the bus made its last passenger run as a city bus. Now the bus is still much in use for tourists.
