The four-cylinder engine is driven by a crankshaft that is again rotated by a realistic driveshaft. Through a gear system and gears, the driving shaft is driven by a rubber tire motor. There are three gears – forward (drive), reverse (reverse) and idle (parking) that can be selected from by the gearshift on the side. If you want to see the exact operation of the -11 engine, turn the engine on in park mode and watch the movement of the cylinders under the hood. You can also take a look through the side door-you’ll notice the fully functional steering wheel connected to the front suspension via a real steering column. The rubber banded engine can be wound up with a shift system on the top of the cab, and a realistic working accelerator pedal enhances the particularly realistic aspect of this kit. The openwork structure was deliberately chosen so that the effect of the intricate design can be fully appreciated.
No glue or special tools are required to build the kit – just follow the included instructions and plug the parts together.
